Remedial Surveying

Damp Proofing
Damp proofing is the protective process to ensure moisture cannot pass through all walls in contact with the ground or floors, into the interior of a building through various damp proofing treatment methods. There are many different causes of damp within homes and businesses.
DPC Injection
The best way to treat rising damp is by installing a new damp proof course through chemical injection which forms a new barrier that prevents water from rising from the ground. You inject a specially formulated chemical into either the brick or mortar joint and when the chemical injection cures, it creates a water-repellent barrier that prevents damp from rising up the wall.
Wood Treatment and Dry Rot Elimination
Timber is used widely in houses and buildings but can be vulnerable material that needs to be protected. One of the main threats to structural timber is wet rot and dry rot. It is important that these two types of fungal decay are distinguished because they require different treatments.
Condensation Control
Once you have taken the necessary measures to prevent condensation from getting worse it is important to take action to ensure that the condensation is kept under control. Condensation control will only be permanent if a constant flow of good ventilation is provided to the home.
